Our history

In response to the educational requirements of Malleshwaram, MES College was established in the academic year 1956-57 by forward-thinking locals, including individuals such as Sri. G. A. Acharya and Prof. B.R. Subba Rao. Originally situated at 15th Cross, Malleshwaram, with an initial enrollment of 68 students, MES has grown significantly since its modest beginnings at Anandashram. The institution has consistently emphasized an academic ethos centered on accessible, value-based education and the holistic development of students.

Having commemorated its Silver Jubilee in 1982 and Golden Jubilee in 2006, MES currently oversees two schools, four PU colleges, three degree colleges, and two PG & Research Centres. With an unwavering commitment to providing nurturing and quality education, MES plays a pivotal role in shaping the character, confidence, and credibility of its students. Annually serving the educational needs of over 10,000 learners, MES has cultivated successful alumni across various professions.
